Chef Ken Ballogdajan
Meet Chef Ken; Father, Chef, Entrepreneur, just a small taste of his many accomplishments. He is the owner and head chef at KENAKI. Ken is the former executive sous chef of Raku in D.C. and has over 20 years of experience in the industry. From his early start with family-owned restaurants to living his dream. He’s interned with Bryan Voltaggio of Volt in Frederick and has studied at L’Academie de Cuisine. Also, making an appearance on Iron Chef America, while working with Chef Robert Treviño in Puerto Rico.
Kenaki Sushi Counter Opens in Gaithersburg
The former executive sous chef of the Raku restaurant chain has teamed up with his sister to start a sushi restaurant of their own—Kenaki Sushi Counter—at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg.

Brother-Sister Team Prepare to Launch Kenaki Sushi Counter
Ken and Aki Ballogdajan have not only teamed up as brother and sister to open a sushi restaurant at 706 Center Point Way next to Starbucks, but they have merged their first names as they prepare to launch Kenaki Sushi Counter in June.
